Chicago's Polish community celebrated Polish Constitution Day on
Saturday, May 5th with the annual parade on South Columbus Dr.. The
reviewing stand was on the East side of the Drive this year in front of
Buckingham Fountain. As usual, various organizations, businesses and
elected officials were well represented. The weather, although overcast,
was perfect for the event. The Polish Constitution, as we all know, was
the second Constitution after that of the U.S.. The Polish community is
hosting and sponsoring ongoing events in the month of May, many related
to the NATO summit.
